Early Years

I attended J.E. Manch Elementary School in Las Vegas, Nevada from kindergarten through 5th grade.   My dad was U.S. Air Force reserves, stationed at Nellis Air Force base so I grew up in Las Vegas.  After completing elementary, I attended Jim Bridger Middle school.  In 1993 my dad retired and my family moved to Byron IL, where I completed my 8th grade year at Byron Middle school.

In 1994 I begin attending Bryon High School.  At the same time my aunt sent a recent video tape of my newly acquired talent in piano to several Rockford College educators, I was contacted, interviewed and accepted to Rockford College Music Academy. - I was 14.  So, I attended Bryon during the day and Rockford College in the evening until my second year when I was given permission to start attending Rockford College in place of many of my high-school classes.  By my junior year, my classes at Rockford College accounted for all but one class.  In 1997, I had completed my high-school education.  After many requests by me and several students, Byron high school agreed to delay my official graduated until May 1998 so that I could attend my senior year high school graduation and ceremony.  My senior year I attended Rockford College which Byron high school counted as credits and I pursued my career in Piano performance.
