More College
In the later half of 1998 after completing my program track at Rockford College, I was accepted and attended Millikin University in Decatur IL, with a full scholarship. At Millikin, I was earning a B.S. in Piano Performance with a minor in my newly acquired skill in Violin. At the end of my first semester I came in contact with a recently sprayed corn field and was poisoned. I was forced to spend my second semester at Mayo Clinic and eventually UW Madison recovering. My six month recovery was the most difficult time of my life. I decided not to return to Millikin because of the distance from my doctors, so I returned to Rockford College. I had decided that I would change my degree from performance (B.S.) to an arts degree in Piano & Violin so that I could also pursue a degree in Mathematics, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. It was a 5 year continued plan to obtain degrees in everything I enjoyed. With my recovery completed, I transferred to the more affordable Rock Valley College in 2000. That was the last year I attended college as my career had unexpectedly taken off and required my time. After 6 years in the industry, I have decided to return to school and complete what I started. After considering my options, I have decided to concentrate towards by Business and computer science backgrounds that I could complete by summers end 2008. I have been accepted to the University of Phoenix to begin this August 2007 as a junior towards a B.S. Business & Computer Information Systems.
