Examples - Financial Software
I have created a number of financial software applications; including a minor accounting, inventory control, shipping & receiving, point-of-sale, flash based financial graphs and stock data analyzers. I was also very fortunate that during the building of the accounting, POS and inventory software that I had access to an experienced veteran engineer of accounting software. Most of these applications were built as web applications adding to the complexity of design and process control.
Accounting

This program was built as a web application and was designed as an industrial accounting package. Complete from general ledgers to invoice generation, it was of the complexity of early business accounting software. The program, like most of my web applications, was highly interactive without page refreshes. |
Point-Of-Sale (POS)

This program was built as a web application and was designed as a retail POS. It worked directly with hardware to provide the functionality of traditional touch systems as well as running as a service register - as see in the preview. The POS application tied into the Accounting and Inventory application. |
Inventory Control System

This program was built as a web application and integrated into a number of physical and software systems; providing a full inventory/warehouse industrial management system. This application had over 200 dialogs and I only had one other programmer to assist me. |
Financial Graphs

A collogue and I built a full package of financial graphs in flash as well as ActiveX controls. Historical, HiLow, Scatter, XY, and more. |
Real-time Stock Analyzers:

Created a formula based on written data from a client, to analyze stock trading data for key metrics and a proprietary identification of hot stocks. |
Web Application / Code Development Environment

This ActiveX control was designed to allow web developers to load and edit scripts, develop dialogs and edit basic text. It was fully colorized and with functionality similar to Adobe Dreamweaver. |
*Special note about the enterprise web applications. I helped design and build POS, Inventory, Customer Service, Accounting, Warehouse, eMail, Contact directory system, and word editing program over a 4 year time span.
