Hobbies - Home Improvement

I don't know why, but like so many home owners, I have that nagging urge to make things better.  But of all my talents I have discovered that masonry and flooring I'm actually good at. I think it appeals to my ordered and meticulous nature of programming.  I only wish I had the same skills on wood-working.  I think programmers and engineers that are active find construction to be an appealing distraction as it requires the mind, hands and time away from the computer.  Let's face it - it's so much fun to go to the hardware store and check everything out.
