Work History - In The Beginning Having started college at 14, I was already in great need to earn a living. I worked with my father in his construction business full time during the summer and as time allowed on weekends during the school year. At 16, like many my age, I took a job at the local Super Value grocer. By in large, I paid for all my education. When I turned 18 I took a night job at UPS. In addition, with help from an older friend I made a few years back, I enlisted in a special program whereby I served as an outside developer for Microsoft. Microsoft 1998-2001 - OS file operations tester & disk developer/auditor As a remote Microsoft product tester, I focused on Windows 98, Windows ME, and Windows 2000. In addition, I had the unique opportunity to join a remote development program helping to upgrade/transform what is known commercially as Windows FDisk for use with larger drive support in Windows ME. During this project, I learned the fundamentals of disk operating systems, Microsoft standards and development tools and device driver development including how to convert 16bit C and ASM applications into 32bit C++ and ASM applications. |
